Marc Jacobs Daisy Shine Editions!

A few days ago I spotted this Daisy Shine range by Marc Jacobs.

There is Daisy Shine Gold, Daisy Shine Pink and Daisy Shine Red.

The fragrances are all the same as the original Daisy and they are eau de parfums.

The composition combines strawberry, violet leaf, pink grapefruit, gardenia, violet, jasmine petals, white woods, vanilla and musk.

It is a light, fresh, uplifting scent. I used to spray the eau de toilette on just before going to sleep.

I love the Daisy range and have all of the previous releases.

There is the original eau de toilette with the white daisy petals on the lid of the bottle. This was the first Daisy release back in 2007.

The original eau de parfum came in a black bottle with gold daisies, which came out the following year, 2008.

The fragrances that followed were all limited editions.

Daisy Bloom was released in 2009.

Daisy Garland was released in 2010.

Daisy Pop Art came in a red bottle which was released in 2010.

Daisy Hot Pink was released in 2011.

Daisy Silver was released in 2009.

Daisy Sunshine was released in 2013.

Daisy Delight was released in 2014.

Daisy Sorbet was released in 2015.

Daisy Blush was released in early 2016.

There is also the Daisy Eau So Fresh range which I have also collected.

There is Daisy Eau So Fresh which is the only one that is not a limited edition. It was released in 2011 and is still very popular.

Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine was released in 2013 at the same time as Daisy Sunshine and another fragrance called Oh Lola! Sunsheer.

Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight was released in 2014 along with Daisy Delight.

Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet was part of the 2015 collection along with Daisy Sorbet.

Daisy Eau So Fresh Blush was released in 2016 along with Daisy Blush and Daisy Dream Blush.
Daisy Dream was released on its own in 2014 and was followed in 2015 by Daisy Dream Forever, the only difference in the bottle was blue daisies instead of white. Then Daisy Dream Blush was released along with Daisy Blush and Daisy Eau So Fresh Blush in 2016.
I am a bit obsessed with Marc Jacobs fragrances but I feel like they are getting too greedy now and I can't keep up with them all as they're coming out.

I wouldn't mind one of the new Daisy Shine bottles, but I'm undecided on which colour I'd choose.

Huge Perfume Haul 2016!

You usually find there are plenty of online offers over bank holidays as you have longer to wait for your items in the post.

I picked up one of my biggest hauls of perfume ever over the bank holiday at the end of March.

I got 5 Marc Jacobs fragrances including the whole Daisy Blush collection; Daisy Blush, Daisy Eau So Fresh Blush and Daisy Dream Blush.
I also got Daisy Dream Forever which was released in 2015 and Decadence which I don't think is from the same range.

I love them all.
Decadence is a long lasting fragrance with notes of iris, amber and woods. It is quite creamy. I'm not crazy about the bottle design, but the scent is gorgeous!
Daisy Blush is a fresh, white floral scent.
Daisy Eau So Fresh Blush has quite a citrusy scent to begin with and develops quickly into a soft, sweet, floral.
Daisy Dream Blush is a soft, powdery floral scent. It has notes of violet leaf, rose and freesia.
Daisy Dream Forever is a lot sweeter and less harsh than the original Daisy Dream, which had white flowers on the bottle.

I also bought Vera Wang by Vera Wang, which I love. It is quite a mature white floral fragrance.

Jimmy Choo Illicit is such an interesting scent. To begin with it reminds me of Nina by Nina Ricci, but it is a bit deeper than Nina. It has notes of ginger, amber and honey. It is very warming.

Jimmy Choo Blossom smells like one of Escada's summer fragrances. It is sweet and has a tropical, fruity scent. In my mind the bottle design and the scent don't work well together. It is a lovely, light summer scent though.

L'Artisan Parfumeur La Chasse Aux Papillons is a light but unique floral fragrance with notes of bergamot, jasmine, orange blossom, tuberose and lime blossom.

First Impressions Of The New DKNY And Marc Jacobs Ranges!

I finally got to try the new DKNY range this week after trying the Marc Jacobs range last week.

I will give the DKNY fragrances another try, but I was quite disappointed with the version in the orange bottle, Citrus Pulse and the version in the pink bottle, Loving Glow. They didn't seem to last long at all.
Bright Crush which comes in the green bottle was the best of the bunch. It has notes of honeydew melon, bergamot, blackcurrant, plum, frangipani, peony, golden amber, vanilla and creamy woods.
It has a sweet, fruity scent.

I also tried the Marc Jacobs range and loved them all. They have that signature Marc Jacobs scent which is instantly recognisable in almost all of the Marc Jacobs fragrances in the Daisy range.
I have to say Daisy Dream Blush was my favourite of the three.
It has notes of pear, water lily, honeysuckle, woods and musk.

New 2016 Perfumes!

There are lots of new fragrances coming out this year.

There are three new Marc Jacobs releases; Daisy Blush, Daisy Eau So Fresh Blush and Daisy Dream Blush.

They all sound like nice springtime scents and I look forward to trying them.

Their colour scheme fits well with Juicy Couture's Viva La Juicy Rose which is another 2016 release. I love rose scents so I think this one will be interesting. I think the bottle is awful though. I'm not keen on glitter on bottles and this one seems to be opaque which I think takes away from the lovely squared-off shape of the bottle.

Nina Ricci is releasing Nina Pop which is the same scent as the original Nina in a colourful bottle. This is to celebrate 10 years since Nina's release.

..But the winner of the most hideous bottle design goes to Moschino's Fresh Couture, which comes in a bottle made to look like a bathroom cleaning spray. I think the bottle is quite shocking. Who came up with this terrible idea?!
