Top 10 Fragrances - My All Time Favourites!

21st March is National Fragrance Day so I thought I'd post 10 of my favourite fragrances!

I love Jimmy Choo's Flash. It is such a unique fragrance. It doesn't have the best staying power but it is still one of my favourites.

Jimmy Choo Viva La Juicy La Fleur is another favourite of mine. It is sweet and fruity. I love the chunky bottle as well.

Nina Ricci's Ricci Ricci is a lovely, deep fragrance. One of the key notes is rhubarb which you don't find in many fragrances. The bottle is also beautiful. It has a lovely shape and has a plastic ribbon wrapped around the neck.

Lolita Lempicka Eau de Minuit is an amazing fragrance. It is released every year with a different bottle design. It is a more intense version of the original Lolita Lempicka eau de parfum. It is sweet and powdery. The notes include liquorice flower and iris.

Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche is a gorgeous fragrance. It has a citrusy element but it is not a run of the mill citrusy fragrance. It is composed exceptionally well. I love it and it has great staying power too.

I love Cacharel Noa. I have bought this fragrance over and over again. It is a lovely soft, feminine fragrance made interesting by the incense note. There is also supposed to be a coffee note in this fragrance but I can't really tell.

Marc Jacob Lola is a lovely, floral fragrance. It is quite rosy, but it really stands out from the crowd. It seems to have a lot of depth to it.

Taylor of London's fragrance Panache is one of my favourites. It has floral and aldehydic notes. It is the most inexpensive fragrance of this bunch at £14.99 for 100ml. It is a great fragrance though.

Chloe eau de parfum is one I notice other people wearing all of the time. It is quite a soapy scent and has excellent staying power and good projection.

Vera Wang's Lovestruck is a deep, floral fragrance with musk in the base.

My 2014 perfumes!

I have built up quite a collection of new fragrances in 2014.

I have bought 19 new releases from this year.

Marc Jacobs released more limited edition Daisy fragrances, Daisy Delight and Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight, both of which I love.

Daisy Dream came afterwards with a unique bottle design.

Jimmy Choo have had some fantastic releases in 2014. Exotic was re-released in an orange bottle for 2014.

Flash London Club was a fragrance I was really excited about. It has a similar scent to the original Flash, which is my favourite.

Stars is a limited edition release from Jimmy Choo. It was probably the last thing my fiancé ever bought me before becoming my husband and it was a great gift. It has a scent along the same lines as the original Jimmy Choo fragrance and the longevity is just as impressive.

Cacharel Noa L'Eau was a limited edition release for the summer. The original Noa fragrance is one of my favourites and this version is a light, fresh and slightly aquatic interpretation.

DKNY's MYNY was released in the summer and it is something really different from DKNY. I have lots of fragrances from the Be Delicious range, but this is a lovely, sophisticated, floral scent. I haven't heard much hype about it, but it really is a lovely scent.

DKNY did release a few new fragrances from the Be Delicious range, which I bought into.
There was Golden Delicious Sparkling Apple, Be Delicious Sparkling Apple and Be Delicious Fresh Blossom Sparkling Apple. In the UK these fragrances are only available from The Fragrance Shop.
They are all lovely and fresh, but they do smell similar to previous releases from the Be Delicious range.

Vera Wang Forever Vera is very difficult to get hold of. It was supposed to be exclusive to Kohl's in the USA. It is a really nice, well balanced fragrance. It is quite a mature scent.

Vera Wang's Princess Power is the latest release from the Princess collection. Like last year's release, Pink Princess, Princess Power is only available in 30ml or 50ml bottles, which annoyed me. It is a lovely, crowd pleasing, fruity-floral fragrance.

Vera Wang Be Jeweled Rouge is another 2014 release. It is really sweet and fruity. I love it.

Lolita Lempicka Minuit Sonne is an amazing fragrance. The deep liquorice flower note seems more prominent than in the original Lolita Lempicka fragrance. I love the fragrance, but the bottle has glitter on it, which comes off onto your hands, which is a bit annoying.

Tom Ford Velvet Orchid is a strong, warming fragrance. I love this fragrance. It is unique, mature and lasts well.

Nina Ricci's La Tentation de Nina is another beautiful scent. It is bakery-sweet and really different to other Nina releases. I think this was a great offering and I look forward to trying next year's Nina Ricci fragrance, Les Délices de Nina.

Juicy Couture's Juicy Couture Malibu was released for the summer alongside Couture La La Malibu, which I have not picked up yet. Juicy Couture Malibu is a lovely summer scent. It is similar to the original, Juicy Couture fragrance, but is a bit less harsh. It has a very light, fresh feel to it. I really like this fragrance, but I have to admit it isn't the longest lasting fragrance.

Chanel No 5 Eau Premiere isn't technically a new fragrance for 2014. It was originally released in 2007, but in 2014 it was released in the classic, rectangular Chanel bottle. It is a lovely scent. It is similar to the original No 5, but this one seems lighter and has a more sparkling opening.

2014 has seen the release of many other lovely fragrances that I have not managed to add to my collection yet and I hope 2015 will bring lots of new and exciting fragrances that will no doubt mean my collection will grow and my shelf space will shrink!

The 2013 perfumes in my collection!

There have been so many fantastic fragrances released in 2013.
Here are 13 that I have added to my collection.

I bought the 3 DKNY Be Delicious Art editions. I love the design on the bottles.

Escada Cherry In The Air also comes in a cute bottle with a cute bow around the neck. It also has a lovely design on the box. It is a lovely summer fragrance.

Jimmy Choo Flash is my favourite perfume. I love the bottle and the scent is so unique. I love it. I can't wait for the new version, which is due for release on 3rd February 2014.

Jimmy Choo Exotic is a delicious scent that I wanted for months before I finally got my hands on it.

Miss Dior released their scent as an eau de toilette early this year. I got this for Christmas from my other half this year.

Cacharel Amor Amor is a lovely limited edition of the original Amor Amor.

L'eau Jolie is a lovely fresh, clean scent that smells very similar to DKNY Fresh Blossom Art, but it comes in an even nicer apple-shaped bottle.

I was mega excited to see the release of Vera Wang's latest addition to the Princess range and this is a lovely sparkling scent, well represented by its bottle.

Marc Jacobs Sunshine Editions were supposedly released in 2012, but they certainly didn't turn up in my local Boots until February 2013:

Marc Jacobs Daisy Sunshine is an amazing scent. I absolutely adore it. I hate the fact that this was a limited edition.

Oh Lola Sunsheer is delicious. I find it so difficult to say which of this Marc Jacobs range is my favourite as they are all amazing.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine was the first scent that I purchased from this range and I ended up going back to Boots the same day to buy Daisy Sunshine. These three are joint second favourites after Jimmy Choo Flash!

2013 also saw the release of Chanel Chance, Chanel Chance Eau Tendre and Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche in large 150ml bottles. They were previously only available in smaller bottles; 100ml and 50ml.
I bought Chanel Chance and Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche in 150ml bottles, but I already had a nearly full 100ml bottle of Chanel Chance Eau Tendre and I didn't have another £80.00 to spare.

Nina Ricci fragrances and limited edition fragrances in general!

I'm a bit obsessed with perfume at the minute. I have my eye on all things Nina Ricci as I am in love with the Ricci Ricci perfume my sister bought me a while ago as a birthday gift.
The bottle is gorgeous. The scent is even nicer with top notes of rhubarb and bergamot; heart notes of moonflower, Indian tuberose and Centifolia rose and base notes of sandalwood and patchouli.
It is sweet and bitter at the same time. It is quite a heavy and mature scent. I would definitely recommend it.

Even though I have had this for a while I have now got it into my head that I need all of the other fragrances in the range. The fragrance was first launched in 2009.
This fragrance, Dancing Ribbons, first launched in 2010, has an equally gorgeous bottle.

I really want this. I was a bit concerned that one of the notes in this is ginger as I find that it can be too harsh for me, but a lot of the reviews I have read say that it doesn't dominate the fragrance and it is not too harsh or overpowering so hopefully I'll love it as much as the gorgeous bottle.
The top notes are listed as ginger, raspberry and rhuburb; the heart notes are tuberose and rose; the base notes are sandalwood and patchouli so it has quite a similar composition to the original, Ricci Ricci.

The 2011 release, which I hope to add to my collection very soon, was this Reflets Mysterieux (which translates to Mysterious Reflections).

Another gorgeous bottle and a similar composition.
Its top notes offer rhubarb accords. The heart notes are Centifolia rose and moonflower and the base closes with a sensual and elegant patchouli trail.

There was another fragrance added to the collection in 2012, Mademoiselle Ricci, which seems to move away from the original composition in favour of something a bit different. This fragrance has top notes of wild rose and pink pepper; heart notes of nerium oleander, rose hip and laurels and base notes of white wood and musk.

2013's summer release was Mademoiselle Ricci L'Eau, which came in a pink frosted bottle.

This offering has notes of rose, peony and lychee.
I have been looking for this fragrance, but cannot find it to buy anywhere on the internet, which seems ridiculous as it was only released this summer.

On the subject of fragrances that are difficult to find, I have been wanting Vera Wang Flower Princess for ages now. I have all of the other Princess fragrances in the range, but Flower Princess was first released back in 2006, the same year as the original Princess was launched and was available as limited edition world-wide, while permanently available to the Asian market.
On Friday I was browsing www.allbeauty.com, formerly known as cheapsmells.com and they are selling the 100ml bottle of Flower Princess for just £34.00.
I was over the moon and my other half kindly offered to purchase it for me there and then so I am very excited about it arriving in the post in the next few days. It'll be great to finally complete the set.

There are a few other fragrances, which I really want, but you can't buy anywhere. There is Cacharel Amor Amor In A Flash, which came out at the beginning of 2013, but by the end it is nowhere to be found.

There is also Marc Jacobs Daisy Silver edition, which was released back in 2009, but is now impossible to buy.

There are loads of DKNY fragrances that I'd love to own too, but they are impossible to find limited editions.

A lot of them are only from last year or the year before and they're no longer available.
It's annoying how limited the limited editions are these days. I hope I manage to find a few of these to add to my collection.
