Avon's Christian Lacroix fragrance range

I know it is barely summer yet, but I have been looking forward to autumn since early spring! I love autumn, but last year was the first year I got really excited for it and the thought of pumpkin scented candles is what excites me the most!

I have been admiring my rather large perfume collection today and I came across some lovely scents that remind me of autumn including Avon's Christian Lacroix fragrances, which I think are more appropriate for autumn and winter as they are quite spicy and heavy.

They have released four fragrances in this range so far and I have collected all of them. They are available exclusively through Avon.

Rouge was the first to be released in 2007. I initially didn't like it as it is quite a heavy, spicy scent, but it has really grown on me. I only tend to wear it in the autumn and winter as I think it is a bit too heavy for spring and summer.

Absynthe was the second release in 2009. It is also quite spicy, but has floral and earthy dimensions as well. It is quite unusual and it lasts well.

Nuit came next in 2011 and it is another lovely scent. It is spicy, but also has a sweet, creamy musk in it and it is a lot more wearable than the previous two releases. It is one of my fragrances that springs to mind when I think of the autumn approaching.

Ambre is the latest fragrance which came out in 2014 and it is a lot sweeter than the others. It has notes of berries and caramel. Amber is also one of the base notes giving the fragrance a slightly heavier scent.

I think there will be more fragrances added to this line eventually. They also do a masculine version of each of the fragrances in the range. I have tried some of them and they're really nice as well.

Chanel Chance Eau Vive And The Chance Collection

So Chanel Chance Eau Vive came out on Friday 12th June and I was lucky enough to get my hands on a bottle.

I bought it from Boots for £79.00 for the 100ml bottle.

Chance Eau Vive is actually a lovely scent. I don't like it as much as the original Chance or Chance Eau Fraiche, but it is still really nice.

It is quite citrusy to begin with, but the jasmine quickly kicks in and takes the fragrance in another direction. As the fragrance settles it has a gentle, woody scent, but it is still dominated by the citrus and jasmine.

I have all of the different Chance fragrances. The first one I bought was Chance Eau Tendre (pink, but looks a bit yellow in the photo below - still smells the same), which I liked the best at the time. I got the 100ml bottle, but I went off it a bit. I still like Chance Eau Tendre, but it is quite a generic fragrance. It is fruity and it reminds me of Marc Jacobs Daisy.
When the limited edition 150ml Chance bottles came out I bought Chance eau de toilette and also the Chance Eau Fraiche eau de toilette in 150ml bottles. At first the original was my favourite and then Chance Eau Fraiche became my favourite, but they are both amazing.

Chance Eau Vive is the only one that hasn't been my favourite yet and I can't honestly see it overtaking Chance and Chance Eau Fraiche, but I think it is probably my third favourite in the range before Chance Eau Tendre.

I love the Chance range. I can't see any more fragrances being added to the line in the near future, but I like that they take time over their fragrance compositions instead of pushing four bottles per year out like Marc Jacobs are at the minute.

10 Boohoo Dresses!

I like to check out Boohoo.com as the summer comes around. I bought some gorgeous dresses a couple of years ago. I've just had a look on their website.
Here are a few of the dresses that I like:

This one is £35.00 and it is similar to a dress by Quiz. I think Boohoo's dress is less detailed, but it is also cheaper.

I love this mint coloured dress. The lace cap sleeves finish it off nicely. A nice dress for just £15.00!

I love this style of dress. It is flattering, but very comfortable. It is £20.00 and you get the pleated belt with it.

I'm not a huge fan of the neckline on this dress, but I like the pattern and the long sleeves. This one is £15.00.

I love this pretty, lilac, strapless dress. It looks a lot more expensive than its £30.00 price tag.

This colourful, floral maxi dress is amazing for just £20.00. The black top makes it!

I have mentioned in previous posts that I love navy dresses so I was instantly attracted to this gorgeous navy dress with lace around the bottom. At just £25.00 this would be a great gift for me ;-)

I really like this patterned sun dress. It has a real festival look and costs just £15.00.

I love this cream butterfly print dress. Another comfortable fit and for just £15.00.

I really like this colourful maxi dress. I think it'd be great for holidays abroad and it costs £22.00.

I think Boohoo have some lovely items on their website. Their pricing is really good especially if you don't want to spend a fortune on clothes you're only going to wear once or twice per year on holiday.
They have a bigger variety than typical high street stores and you don't find people everywhere you go wearing the same outfit as you like you do with Primark clothing.
